ABSTRACT: In 2011 the town of Arezzo celebrated with two meetings the sixt-hundredh anniversary of  Spinello Aretino’s death. The Italian edition of the monograph by Stefan Weppelmann was presented on the 7th November. The following day the conference “In nome di buon pittore”. Spinello e il suo tempo  was promoted by the Società Storica Aretina in memory of  the art historian Luciano Bellosi, recently deceased. Many questions about the great Aretine Late-Gothic painter were discussed; among them problems concerning his workshop and his connection to Trecento painting tradition.
